While the pool is a fun place to spend hot summer days, brushing out your kid’s hair after being exposed to chlorine is not near as fun. However, I have found the perfect pool hair hack to fixing those chlorine knots making the experience MUCH more enjoyable. All you need is my favorite hair mask and brush.
Amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask
If you have followed me for any length of time, then you may know already how much I love the Amika Soulfood Hair Mask! Now, there is even more reason to grab this for your haircare arsenal. Once your little is done swimming, put a generous amount in your hands and work it through their hair before attempting to brush it (I prefer the Wet Brush when working through wet hair). If their hair isn’t too dry, it works the best. So, definitely do this as soon as you can after you have finally convinced them to leave the pool (it’s a challenge, I know). Make sure to squeeze any excess water out of their hair, and start at the bottom when brushing. You’ll be surprised at how easily those dry sticky knots will brush out!
Pool Hair Hack Aftercare At Home
Once you have used this pool hair hack, packed your bags back up, gathered all of your belongings, and finally made it home with very tired children, head to the bath and wash their hair out like normal.
